Prominent jurist and lawyer John Lowell (1743-1802) received an AB from Harvard in 1760 and an AM in 1763. Lowell began practicing law in 1763 and also served as a delegate to the Confidential Congress, a Representative to the General Court, and a federal judge. He was elected a member of the Harvard Corporation in 1784.
