Scope and Contents
This series contains financial documents and related copies and drafts of petitions, legal texts, and supporting documents created and collected by the Corporation. This series includes a copy of the General Court petition by the Committee of the Town of Cambridge responding to the Corporation's petition (UAI 20.799 Box 1, Folder 12), and a draft of a memorial by the College officers to the General Court regarding their tax exemptions (UAI 20.799 Box 1, Folder 14). Many of the documents are numbered suggesting they were collected by Professor Pearson as part of a research file on the issue.
