Immediate Source of Acquisition
The item was accompanied by a letter of donation from Simon Gratz dated February 16, 1924 that explains, "In examining a parcel of old manuscripts that had been given to me, I found the enclosed paper." The letter is held in the control file for the collection and may be consulted on request.
