Historical note

John Wadsworth (1739-1777) received his AB from Harvard in 1762 and served as Tutor from 1770 and as Fellow from 1774 until his death from smallpox in 1777.

Edward Wigglesworth (1732-1794) received his AB from Harvard in 1749 and served as Tutor from 1764 to 1765, Hollis Professor of Divinity from 1765 to 1791, Fellow from 1779 to 1792, Acting President of the University from 1780 to 1781, and Hollis Professor Emeritus from 1791 to 1794.
