Scope and Contents

This volume contains an account of the stock and funds of Harvard College with income and expenses from December 1, 1777 to June 1, 1785 including balances of income and expenses, 1777-1785; the state of the College Funds, June 1, 1785; Account of Bonds received by Harvard College in the paper currency with the depreciation as by the Continental scale, shewing the loss sustained by taking it, 1777-1779; Account of sums received for legacies, rents and annuities in the paper currency with the value by the Continental scale, 1777-1779; and Account of loan certificates purchased by Harvard College with the paper currency taken for bonds in lieu of silver and gold with the value in specie as settled by Congress, June 1780.
