Massachusetts Eye and Ear Residents and Fellows yearbooks

Scope and Contents

In 1984, MEE began publishing photographic directories of residents and fellows in the ophthalmology and otolaryngology departments, often referred to as yearbooks. These yearbooks generally contain the photographs, names, and previous academic affiliations of residents and fellows of Massachusetts Eye and Ear, organized by department and appointment. Note that not all residents or fellows are pictured in a given year. The names of individuals not pictured are typically listed on the yearbooks themselves, but it is recommended to cross reference the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Annual Reports (AC109) for the full list of residents and fellows. Also see the annual reports for lists of residents and fellows prior to July 1, 1984, and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Photographs by Subject (PC6) for images of resident classes prior to July 1, 1984.

This collection is arranged chronologically, with the vast majority of yearbooks containing some overlap. Note that issues specifically dated 1989-1990 and 2003-2004 are missing. It is not clear whether these issues are missing from the collection or were never produced. For coverage of these dates, see yearbooks for 1988-1989, 1990-1991, 2002-2003, and 2003-2004.

Note that Massachusetts Eye and Ear dropped “Infirmary” from its corporate name after the publication of the 2015-2016 yearbook.
