When Shambhusinhji married ,they wore heavy [ expensive clothes]. All came. Shambhusinhji’s wife came with laaj [ covering her face – women would not look upon the male in-laws or superiors]. They sprinkled red kanku powder over them. They faced each other. They all loved the dancing, and also Phaiba Saheb of Pratapgadh your grandfather’s sister and your great aunt from Banera. First they would make the new couple dance, etc. etc.”
