General note

The first track on this tape contains copies of 78 RPM records that Rubin wanted to have identified. The other two programs are concert broadcasts from All India Radio (AIR), Madras Channel A. The first is from the Music Academy on December 23, 1964, and the second is from the Tamiḻ Icai Caṅkam on December 25, 1964. The second track contains a live recording of a concert from the Indian Fine Arts Society on December 26, 1964.

The Eda Kuhn Loeb Music Library is the primary repository of musical materials at Harvard. The Music Library’s collecting mission is to serve music teaching and research programs in the Music Department and throughout the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. In addition, it supports the musical needs of the broader Harvard community as well as an international scholarly constituency.
