Included is a four-page, manuscript presentation copy of, “The Long Departed Lover.” The title page is signed by Lambert and dedicated to Wong, and on the last page there is a second inscription which reads “to Wong Liu Song, with Love from Constant.” Also included is a printed copy of his earlier work, “Four Songs by Li-Po” which is inscribed “To Miss Anna May Wong / from the composer / who hopes he may one day hear her sing them.”

Written by Flemming Geill (lyrics) and Henry Willum (music), the song was written specifically for Wong and it was part of her repertoire in her 1935 tour of Denmark.
