Further includes sample, blank copies of the questionnaire, enclosed in the same binder as the completed forms. All materials date from around the time Morning Star Ranch functioned in its original form, from approximately 1967 to 1972, with some materials from the following years.

Biographical / Historical

Morning Star Ranch, also known as Morningstar Commune, was a counterculture communal living ranch in Occidental, California, in Sonoma County, co-founded by Lou Gottlieb. In its original form, led by Gottlieb, Morning Star Ranch functioned as a commune from 1967-1972.

Arrangement

Collection has been minimally processed. Questionnaires are grouped in a binder, while additional papers are enclosed in a single folder. Materials have not been arranged.
