Includes drafts, proofs, and publications for Libdio magazine. The collection also includes erotica and/or conversations around erotica through photographs, slides, advertisements and flyers, DVDs, newspapers, poetry, a jock-strap, and correspondence related to Libido magazine.

Biographical / Historical

Life-partners Marianna Beck and Jack Hafferkamp are the co-founders and co-editors of Libdio: the Journal of Sex and Sensibility. Part of their motivation for creating the magazine was to have a way to express their attraction for each other. Beck and Hafferkamp have experience as writers, directors for documentaries, and editors. Hafferkamp was also a senior lecturer at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and a reporter (Contra Costa Times).
