Primarily includes printed materials from the United States and abroad, including advertisements, brochures, catalogs, lists, clippings, fliers, newsletters, pamphlets, playbills, programs, souvenir programs, journals and other ephemeral printed items. Also contains a small collection of items compiled by Joseph Hutchinson Smith, including a few letters, a scrapbook, and an autograph manuscript article on Bobby Fulton's Puppets. Images are mostly photographs, but also include photomechanicals and prints.

Materials concerning puppetry: the art of presenting puppet shows or performing using puppets, which are representations of figures, animated by strings, by hands inside the figure, or another manual method.
