Gloves required to handle. One photograph has a small piece of paper attached to the bottom with adhesive. Small pieces on the corners and sides of the accompanying press descriptions have been torn off.

.04 linear feet (1 volume)Five silver print promotional photographs of dancer Katherine Dunham alongside other performers from her dance company, the Negro Dance Group, in the show Tropical Revue. Four of the photographs still have their original accompanying publicity descriptions for press advertising. All photographs are stamped, "Property of Wide World Photos" on the back.
Biographical / Historical
Katherine Dunham was an American dancer, choreographer, anthropologist, and social activist. Dunham had one of the most successful dance careers of the 20th century, and directed her own dance company for many years.
