Biographical / Historical

"Too Far East" was a variety revue produced within the Far East Command of the United States Department of Defense in Korea by American Bob Walsh, with original music by 1st Lieutenant Art Keeney.

Bob Walsh, a Massachusetts native, attended Boston University until his withdrawal in 1948 to join the armed forces. He was initially noted for medical aptitude and sent to Fort Benning for training, but after his release to civilian life in 1949, he was recalled to active duty when the Korean conflict arose and assigned to a unit in charge of entertainment for the Far East Command.
