Mrs. Fisher notes on theater history
Summary
Lists of performances, transcriptions of cast lists, and compendiums of death notices of actors and musicians, mostly from original records dated 1852 to 1905, with a particular emphasis on Boston and London. Of particular interest is a transcript of the nightly receipts of Boston's National Theatre, 1836-1837.
None of the volumes are signed or offer any clue concerning authorship, except that many of them bear tags reading "Mrs. Fisher's MSS records" and most volumes were originally purchased from Boston stationers.
