General note
Most of these clippings were sent to John Sewall Pratt Alcott by various clipping services including: Press Clipping Bureau, Luce's Press Clipping Bureau, and the Authors' Clipping Bureau. In March 2001 the clippings were recataloged by removing them from their envelopes and arranging by subject. Loose clippings not found in envelopes were also included.

Houghton Library's collections represent the scope of human experience from ancient Egypt to twenty-first century Cambridge.
