General note

Note for 300 hundred pounds (money of New England) for Calvin Gay (master of the sloop Wilmot), having brought from Chiegnecto (sic) [Chignecto], Nova Scotia, the following persons: John Robinson, John Fryer, William McKim, John Millington, John Smith, Thomas Owen, John Potts, Henry Richards, and Thomas Rayner. These men were all soldiers who were discharged from the British army.
