Beatrix Farrand explains a delay in sending notes for their next meeting as her husband, Max Farrand, had recently retired. She suggests tentative dates for her next visit to Dumbarton Oaks. Heavily penciled "Jack" in the top left corner indicates that Paul Sachs may have wanted John Thacher to provide a response.
