Typescript letter with handwritten signature from Earle H. Balch to Mildred Bliss tells her the only first-rate source for old books in The Hague is the firm of Martinus Nijhoff which is situated in the Lange Voorhout not far from their hotel. Balch spoke with Mr. Wouter Nijhoff, the head of the firm and told him of Mildred's interest. Nijhoff remembered meeting Mildred some years ago at Dumbarton Oaks.
