Handwritten letter from Eva H. Bowles (Mrs. Oliver Bowles) to Robert Woods Bliss asks to hold a charity event in the gardens at Dumbarton Oaks. It would benefit the the Woman's Auxiliary of the Mining and Metallurgical Engineers educational fund to provide scholarships to students of high standing interested in mining, metallurgy, or geology. Robert Woods Bliss's secretary sends a regret on his behalf tells Bowles they have already promised other charities to which they are interested in.
