Typescript letter from Mildred Bliss to Beatrix Farrand responds to a letter about Maunsell Van Rensselaer's condition which distresses Mildred. Mildred thinks the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden needs a director's house and would be sorry to see construction of one postponed although it may be more economical to build a house then to rent one. She feels it is wise to delay the widening of the arroyo trail and the making of the Ceanothus service road until new parking space grades are settled....
