Handwritten letter from Beatrix Farrand to Mildred Bliss asks if she had received an earlier letter discussing Beatrix Farrand's need to retire from her position with Dumbarton Oaks and the gardens and informing her that notes on the Dumbarton Oaks Gardens had been sent to Anne Sweeney. Anne Fithian is looking better than she has in years. Mrs. Gould's health is not good. The new assistant at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden is a great success.
