Copy of typescript letter from the secretary for Mildred Bliss to Beatrix Farrand returning enclosures with many thanks. Mildred Bliss thinks the system is most practical and has shown it to Maunsell Van Rensselaer of the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, who finds it so useful he has asked for blank species index cards so that he may have them copied for use here. She says Mrs. Bliss sends her love and hopes that Max Farrand is steadily progressing. She was sorry to learn that he had a setback....
