Typescript letter from Beatrix Farrand to Mildred Bliss tells her Max experienced a secondary hemorrhage the day after arriving home from the hospital. He didn't lose much blood, but the pain was pretty bad. Max was disappointed having to go back to the hospital which has depressed him considerably.
