Western Union telegram from Mildred Bliss and Robert Woods Bliss to Beatrix Farrand asks for forgiveness for the delayed response to her communications on June 16th, 17th, 25th, 28th, and July 7th. "Pressure here excessive." Robert has been pronounced ready for an operation which will probably be performed the 31st. Everything is favorable and there is no dread. They shall write Beatrix in regards to Casa Dorinda and successful steps for the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden and Dumbarton Oaks....
