Scope and Contents

Typescript letter and draft report with pencil corrections of the Report submitted to the Chairman of the Dumbarton Oaks Administrative Board, on the Grounds of Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection. This is a portion that provided the basis for the Planting record book and later the published book, Beatrix Farrand's Plant Book for Dumbarton Oaks edited by Diane Kostial McGuire, 1980. It addresses garden area design and need for replacement plan for the trees and shrubs.
