Scope and Contents
Typescript letters with handwritten signatures from Ruth Havey to Mildred Bliss discusses an enclosed Dumbarton Oaks Agenda of April 15th giving an active and inactive list of various projects under consideration. This list has been separated from letter and has accesion number of K:RH 1952.04.15. Havey outlines a schedule for the contractors for erecting the North Vista finials, consoles, and rail and hopes it meets with Mildred Bliss's approval. Mr. Steinbraker and Mr. Phelps are to erect the consoles and finials for finishing; Mr. Luciani working on finished carving; Finelli to erect rail and put final coat of black paint on rail and add wheat motifs. The symposium at Dumbarton Oaks is scheduled April 24-27. In the report on the status of the North Vista finials and consoles, Ruth Havey tells Mildred Bliss that the contract for executing these in limestone was signed, and she left a copy of it along with a full size plaster model of it at her home.
