Scope and Contents

Typescript letter with handwritten signature from Beatrix Farrand to John Thacher tells her she has a place for the Chinese tiger offered to her. It is splendid news that Matthew Kearney is back at Dumbarton Oaks. She comments on Thacher's efforts in Bryce's discharge papers. She thanks him for additional funds for the Bartlett Tree Service which she passed on to James Bryce. If additional tours are added, Farrand thinks the morning tours should be reduced while increasing afternoon tours to the Dumbarton Oaks Garden on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Book orders are being sent to Anne Sweeney. A copy of a letter to the Metropolitan Museum regarding postcards is included with letter. An extract of a letter from Farrand to Bryce about postcards for the garden is also included.
