Scope and Contents

Handwritten letter from Donald Tweedy to Mildred Bliss tells her the walk through the Dumbarton Oaks Garden with his wife will always be remembered. "Yours [garden] captures best that fabulous quality of the place where the youngest son of the King meets the Princess of his dreams. It has the magic touch of faery." His mother and sister may phone to ask her permission to visit the garden while they are visiting in Washington, D.C. He is grateful for the opportunity to visit. His mother, Mrs. Arthur Tweedy and sister, Mrs. James Douglas Biggs, enthustiastic gardeners who are in Washington, D.C. will phone Dumbarton Oaks for permission to see the gardens and grounds.
