Scope and Contents

Copy of typescript from John Thacher to Beatrix Farrand tells her he is relieve to hear Max Farrand is satisfactory after surgery. He says his and others thoughts are with her, and they haven't wanted to bother her. Her relayed Farrand's message to James Bryce and Anne Sweeney, but not Harvard colleagues. The Chairman of the Administrative Committee has confirmed that she can continue to supervise the gardens for many years to come. He understands it may be impossible for her to come to Dumbarton Oaks in the Spring, but welcomes her if she wants a change.
