Scope and Contents

Typescript letter with handwritten signature from Robert Patterson to Anne Sweeney tells her the prospects of getting a garden center in the not too distant future are still quite bright, although entirely in the air. He tells her she will have books piled on her office floor for some time before permanent library shelves are ready in a new location. He reports that John Thacher has agreed to work with Anne on the small garden booklet. When the Catalog House plan is no longer needed, Patterson will begin a drawing of a new and revised plan. He asks Sweeney to send him the old one. He will also produce some kind of tentative sketch for a map to be included in the booklet. He asks to be informed of the progress of the Chrysanthemum Show, and will try to get back to Washington for a day or two when it is at its height.
