Scope and Contents

Copy of typescript letter from Anne Sweeney, Garden Guide to Mrs. T.H.B. McKnight. Based on a telephone conversation between the two, Anne Sweeney encloses Harvard University's plan for the announcement of the opening of the Dumbarton Oaks garden to the public. Sweeney says she will also write to Mrs. Pratt and send her the information to bring it to the attention of the Garden Clubs of America. She mentions in the announcement it does not state that the gates would be closed after the tour started. She doesn't think many will want to take advantage of the tour in the Winter, but if they do, Dumbarton Oaks will be only too happy to make them welcome.
