Scope and Contents

Handwritten letter from Rosamund Corcoran (Mrs. George Eustis Corcoran) to Mildred Bliss tells her Rosamund and her sister had just returned from Washington, D.C. and said "Dumbarton Oaks looked perfectly lovely and wer were both absolutely overcome by the rare and subtle beauty of your marvellous collections. Are you wizards, did you wave magic wands? How did you find such exquisite treatrues?" She tells Mildred the pieces in the collection are beautifully shown to their best advantage. She reports that they bought a copy of the Fogg bulletin as a lovely souvenir of a memorable visit. They also saw the National Gallery and enjoyed every minute of it. Rosamund mentions Marie is going to California this summer, so Mildred will probably see her. She hopes that Robert Bliss is feeling better.
