Scope and Contents

Copy of a typescript letter from John Thacher to Beatrix Farrand asks her to send in her statements for her accounts to Miss Carpenter no later than June 1st, so that the accounts can be closed and new accounts opened for Robert Patterson. Robert Patterson will report to her on Anne Sweeney's upcoming trip to Bar Harbor, Maine. He tells Beatrix to add the amount of $200 to her honorarium account for Sweeney's trip. He suggests all expenditures she had for correspondence, etc. such as Isabelle Stover's time be sent to Robert Patterson. Patterson may wish to take advantage of her secretarial services. If she visits Dumbarton Oaks, she is to bill Dumbarton Oaks for her services. The stone tiger is being returned to Reef Point with a marked down price of $100. He suspects Robert Patterson will deliver to you messages of his visit to Dumbarton Oaks.
