Letter from Paul J. Sachs to Beatrix Farrand, 1650 Orlando Road, San Marino, California, March 12, 1941

Scope and Contents

Copy of typescript letter from Paul J. Sachs to Beatrix Farrand acknowledges her letter of February 18th (D:BF 1941.02.18B) and explains he delayed his response until he could discuss with John Thacher questions Beatrix Farrand had raised in her correspondence. After meeting with John Thacher, he thinks Thacher answered her questions in his letter to her (D:JT 1941.03.04). Paul Sachs expresses his appreciation for her continued advice to and guidance of the Dumbarton Oaks gardens after its transition to Harvard University and expresses his desire to see her on her next trip to Washington, D.C. in April [1941].
