Scope and Contents

Western Union telegram from Ruth Havey to Mildred Bliss notifying her that Steinbraker can not have the North Vista model base ready for clay and modelling on Tuesday as planned. She reports the earliest day for starting clay modelling is Saturday, July 14. Miss Draper thinks you will leave Washington on July 15th since it can not be done in time for you to see it. Havey told Steinbraker not to proceed until she gets in touch with Mildred Bliss as it would be better to have the stone cutting and modelling done here [New York]. Havey has an appointment to take the matter in detail tomorrow with Mr. Murray who thinks he can have it cut and in place soon after September 15th. Havey will wait until noon hoping for directions from Mildred.
