Scope and Contents

Copy of typescript letters from Helen Reid to Mildred Bliss and Mildred Bliss to Helen Reid (Mrs. Ogden Reid). Reid asks Mildred Bliss if she was interested in Nerines from Harry du Pont's collection as the greenhouses are closing down. She also inquires if Mildred Bliss would know of anyone who would like a good gardener. She loved the picture postcard and view of the Dumbarton Oaks Garden which made her more sad that she missed Mildred Bliss' party.

Mildred Bliss responds that she would like more information regarding the Nerines, specifically quantity, age, price, etc. She asks if the gardener is a superintendent or an actual flower grower. She had spoke about him to friends at Alexandra Moore's place Long Island.
