Scope and Contents

Typescript letter with handwritten signature from Beatrix Farrand to Anne Sweeney tells her Alfred Rehder from the Arnold Arboretum responded to her about the available pictures available. She says the Mildred Bliss volunteered Anne Sweeney's services to the Horticultural Society as a step to working at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Beatrix Farrand will work out what is expected of Anne when she is next in Washington, D.C.

Farrand tells Sweeney the material she has for the Dumbarton Oaks Catalogue House "sounds excellent". She mentions a map and replacing the birds and trees in the panels with wildflowers.
