Letter from Beatrix Farrand, 1650 Orlando Road, San Marino, California to Miss Sweeney, March 18, 1937 Digital
Scope and Contents
Handsigned typescript letter from Beatrix Farrand on her letterhead with location crossed through and a new location typed in letter. Beatrix Farrand informs Anne Sweeney that the [plant] cards and "pasters" have come safely, and that she is returning rearrangments on the back of the two cards she sent to her. Beatrix Farrand feels the use of a multitude of small pictures on the same card and close together will be too small to carry well for the more or less large crowds visiting the Dumbarton Oaks Garden. Beatrix Farrand offers her vision of the cards with pictures of the plant. She is planning to leave California on April 8 and reach Washington, DC the morning of Thursday, April 15 and leave on Monday, April 19. She suggest having a good talk and work it out together during this time. Signature likely that of Miss Mary Fulkerson, a typist for Beatrix Farrand.
