Unsigned copy of typescript letter with handwritten note attributed to Mildred Bliss responding to Trix (Beatrix Farrand) about proposals for the Dumbarton Oaks garden and property. Specifically, it mentions the loggia, purchase of cedar trees from Mr. Sargent at Arnold Arboretum, Gardener's Cottage, greenhouse, 32nd Street wall, piers and gates, railing between Lovers' Lane and 31st Street entrance. Mildred Bliss explains changing architectural firms will be easier for Beatrix Farrand to collaborate with McKim, Mead, and White on changes to the property since both have offices in New York City.
