The School's first home was in the Rotch Memorial Building (originally built as Infant's Hospital) at 55 Shattuck Street. Following World War II, the School expanded by acquiring the Collis P. Huntington Memorial Hospital Building (now destroyed) at 1 Shattuck Street. More information: President's report, 1946-1947. In 1962, construction began for the two new research buildings which are now located on Huntington Avenue. More information: President's report, 1959-1960. During 1967-1968 eleven stories were added to Research Building 1.
