Historical Note

By the early 1880s, the need for even larger facilities was evident. A site was purchased on Boylston Street and a committee of Medical School faculty was formed to advise architect Henry Van Brunt on needs for laboratory and classroom space in his designs for the new building. More information: President's report, 1882-1883.
