General note

This series consists of Paul Tillich's personal material, including documents related to the Tillich family such as birth, marriage, and death records, identification, travel itineraries, calendars, and family newsletters. The series also includes humorous plays, poems, and other writings by Tillich, as well as photographs and birthday books. In addition, there is material related to Tillich's death, such as newspaper clippings, memorial programs and posthumous tributes and critiques. There are also artifacts such as medals, awards, commemorative, and personal items. The bulk of the written material in this series is in German.
