Scope and Contents
Daybook kept by livery stable owner Tillson Waterman from 1877-1879. Waterman's firmed, named after him, was located in Mechanic Falls, Maine. Waterman's entries include charges for repairing harnesses, painting carriages, stabling horses, and feeding horses. There is also a list of personal property and value thereof.

Tillson Waterman was born in Poland, Maine, son of Mercy Angerona and Samuel Freeman Waterman. He married Martha E. Verrill. Waterman owned a livery and stable in Mechanic Falls, Maine. He died there in 1914.
