Biographical / Historical

The papers of the Rose Run Iron Ore Company of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky were given to Baker Library by Mr. N. Preston Breed in April of 1989. Mr. Breed was at that time President of the Rose Run Company, the corporation which, in 1928, bought the properties originally owned by the Rose Run Iron Ore Company. Notes sent to Special Collections by Mr. Breed indicate that some sort of iron mine has been in operation on the Mt.
