John Bryant account books

Scope and Contents

This collection contains a ledger and account book kept by Boston, Massachusetts merchant John Bryant between 1801 and 1812. The volumes include transactions made between Bryant and customers for household merchandise, furniture and goods. John Bryant was later a partner with William Sturgis, in the merchant shipping firm Bryant & Sturgis.
