Biographical Note:
Osgood S. Lovekin of Fairfield, Connecticut, graduated in 1927 with an MBA from Harvard Business School. He completed the undergraduate requirements for a medical degree at Stanford University in 1925 but instead entered Harvard Business School in 1925. Studying industrial problems in Massachusetts, Lovekin assisted Elton Mayo in his research on human relations and industry along with his peers, Harold D. Lasswell, Fritz J. Roethlisberger, and W. Lloyd Warner. He later joined Elton Mayo's department at HBS in 1927 and taught as an instructor in industrial research from 1927-1930. He became an assistant professor of industrial research in 1930 and remained at HBS until 1934.
