Scope and Contents
Two volumes that were used by students for the Industrial Management course taught by Harvard Business School (HBS) Professors Franklin E. Folts (1893-1978) and E.C. (Edwin Clyde) Robbins (1883-1947). The volumes have been unbound and foldered. The first volume consists of readings related to a variety of industrial management topics such as labor specialization, the effects of the division of labor upon fatigue and health, the popularity of repetitive work, integration, and the significance of rationalization. The second volume consists of several cases including Auto Service Corporation, A.O. Smith Corporation, King Saw Company, Van Roon Mills, and Horton Tire Company. Many of the cases have handwritten notes on them.
