Nathaniel L. Hooper stockbroker’s book

Scope and Contents

Nathaniel L. Hooper’s (1825-1900) stockbroker's book, containing record of transactions on the Boston Stock Exchange from January 9 through June 12, 1862. The stockbroker’s book consists of preprinted pages listing banks in Boston, manufacturing companies, insurance companies, land stocks, bonds, railroads, and mining companies trading on the Boston Stock Exchange. Hooper documented the name of the firm, the shares offered and shares asked, and if there was a sale.
