Dividend/receipt books, 1792-1808

Scope and Contents

George Homer used these books to record quarterly dividend payments made to the Proprietors of the Boston Pier or Long Wharf, and payments to the laborers, watchmen, and contractors who worked on the wharf. Both the proprietors and the workmen signed the books to acknowledge receipt of payment.
